Burnout Recovery Group for
ADHD Perfectionists
A 6-Week Process Group
Burnout Recovery for
ADHD Perfectionists
is a 6-week psychotherapy/process group for adults of all genders who hold a lot and are ready to let some of it go.
It’s a space to slow down, explore perfectionism, guilt, self-criticism, nervous system overload, and the ways we learn to keep carrying more than we need to.
This group is a good fit for clients who:
feel burned out or overextended
struggle with perfectionism or chronic overfunctioning
are looking for support around rest, softness, and self-compassion
may benefit from connection with others who understand what it’s like to live in overdrive
are late diagnosed and figuring it out
are non-conformist, gender expansive, anti-capitalist, queer, and/or multiply neurodivergent - you may be aligned with one or all of these - the most important thing is that you can create safety in spaces
This group is NOT a good fit for clients who:
want "life hacks"
want an educational space to learn - while we do some of that - this space is really designed for you to process your perfectionism with others
want an individual container to work things out - this will be a group space with facilitation, but it is not meant to be like individual therapy
are not cool with queer and trans folx - there are plenty of cis-only spaces - this space is meant to be inclusive because we can learn from one another - but hate will not be tolerated here (and I get sort of Philly Dre about that)
Each week we work through themes that come up around the topic of perfectionism.
These themes are there to guide you rather than be prescriptive.
We may take time to talk as a group, process in writing or through art, and listen to one another.
What will we do here?
Week 1:
Deep dive into where you are right now and what you hope to get out of this group.
Week 2:
Defining burnout for yourself and how perfectionism shows up
Week 3:
Mapping some ways to let go and be in the body/somatic practices
Week 4:
Finding a way forward through brainspotting
Week 5:
Relating and sharing
Week 6:
Closing circle
Themes
There is a 6-week commitment to the group, so there is an opportunity to get to know each other as a cohort rather than a drop-in space.
I find this helps with going deeper into the work.
If you participate for one week and decide this is not for you, I respect your autonomy. However, I do require that everyone does a consult with me so we can see if this will be a good fit.
This is not meant to be gate-keepy, but more to make sure my vibe works for you and that this will be a safe space for you.
